Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Golden Psychology is proud to offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an innovative, evidence-based approach that combines the therapeutic benefits of ketamine with guided psychotherapy to support healing and personal growth. Administered in a safe, structured, and professionally supervised setting, KAP can help individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other mental health challenges when traditional treatments have not been fully effective. During sessions, the medicine can facilitate a relaxed, open, and reflective state of consciousness that allows clients to explore emotions and patterns with greater insight and compassion. When integrated with talk therapy, this process can promote lasting emotional shifts, relief from symptoms, and a renewed sense of connection and possibility.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy offers opportunities to make progress in therapy, treat anxiety and depression, explore the integration of your identities, and process grief and change.

We help you with preparation for the session, setting your intentions, and determining what you are most focused on addressing within the KAP. We support you during the session, keeping a safe space, addressing issues that may arise, and helping you to stay focused on your goals. Finally, we facilitate your integration of the material that has come up in the session to support you in going deeper into the change work that Ketamine can elicit.

Sessions

All KAP sessions are offered in our office in Union Sqquare. Prior to the sessions, clients will meet with an outside psychiatric provider (unaffiliated with Golden Psychology) for a comprehensive Medical/Psychiatric Assessment and Screening. The outside psychiatric provider will then provide a prescription for the medicine for sessions, which the client is required to fill and bring to session. We do not administer or handle any medication.
