SLIDING SCALE, RATES, & FEES

Our sliding scale aligns with the values of Golden Psychology. We created it to contribute to economic justice for our clients while also ensuring that our providers are paid a livable wage.

The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services. It is an ongoing conversation with your provider, that can happen as your financial resources change.

Please see below to determine which tier you qualify for. Our providers have limited Tier 2 and 3 sliding scale slots available.

We also offer low-cost, affordable therapy services with our therapy trainees. Click here to learn more.

Tier 1 (full Fee)

You qualify for this tier if any of the following are true:

  • You have a relatively high degree of earning power.

  • You have access to financial security, own property or afford high end rent, and have personal savings.

  • You are able to pay for the things you want and do not worry about basic needs such as food, housing, medical care, etc.

  • You have support from family members or others who are financially secure and support your therapy.

  • You may be paying off debt or working to build savings but you also have access to steady income.

  • You are able to pay for the things you want without sacrificing necessities.

  • Investing in therapy may require short term trade-offs (like fewer dinners our, not buying new clothing or going on vacation) but likely will not harm you financially in the long term.

By being in this tier, you are paying the full service value.
