Gabriella Jarvie, Therapy Trainee

Gabriella (she/her) is a second-year social work intern at Golden Psychology. Her approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, strengths-based, and empowering. Gabriella believes that therapy should be a collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to better understand themselves and work toward their goals.

Gabriella is particularly interested in working with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, and other challenges. She incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into her work, with an emphasis on building practical coping skills, emotional awareness, and self-compassion.

Gabriella aims to create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. She recognizes that each person brings their own experiences, strengths, and goals to therapy and believes that clients are the experts in their own lives. Her goal is to meet clients with curiosity and compassion while helping them identify and build upon the strengths they already have.

Gabriella received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and is currently pursuing her MSW at Columbia University School of Social Work.
