Dana Stern

Dana Stern (she/her) is a Master’s of Social Work candidate at Columbia University, with a concentration in psychedelic-assisted therapy, and holds a BFA in Acting from Emerson College. She is a certified yoga teacher (member of Yoga Alliance), specializing in trauma-informed yoga, and a certified Death Doula through the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA).

Dana’s approach is rooted in trauma-informed and patient-centered care, with a commitment to working through an anti-oppressive lens and respect for each person’s unique story. She brings direct experience supporting individuals in crisis as a former crisis and suicide intervention counselor with RAINN and The Trevor Project.

She is passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, of which she is a part, and with others like herself who share the immigrant or artist experience. She specializes in supporting people navigating the challenges of grief, loss, life transitions, systems of oppression, anxiety, depression, or trauma.

Drawing on her creative background as an actor and body worker, she incorporates expressive and somatic practices such as mindfulness and breathing techniques, to support healing through empathy, imagination, curiosity, and self-expression.

She is dedicated to cultivating trust and a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing process.
