Carolyn Patterson
At times, we can all feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. I work to create a therapeutic space where you feel comfortable sharing your full self. Together, we can take intentional steps toward creating a life that feels more aligned and joyful. Our work might involve exploring past experiences, making sense of current challenges, and identifying practical and sustainable tools. The direction of therapy will reflect your personal needs and goals. My style is warm, funny, compassionate, and direct. I intentionally bring humor and curiosity into the therapeutic process.
Above all, I believe that impactful therapy grows out of a strong, collaborative relationship. My focus is building this trusting relationship where you feel seen and supported. I also bring in an awareness of how societal and cultural factors influence mental health and well-being. Using a liberatory lens, I can support you to recognize and navigate the impact of these larger forces.
I also provide Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. I received my B.A. in Political Science from Vassar College and am in my final year at Columbia School of Social Work.
