Aleja Parsons
Psychologist, PhD
Senior Supervisor
Dr. Parsons’ career has spawned academic, research, teaching, and clinical settings. Across those contexts, the question that threads her work together is ‘how do we find and keep healthy love in our lives?’ She’s answered that question as faculty at NYU, course instructor at Northwestern University, in her work directly with couples in her practice, Relationship Health Psychological Services PLLC, and as a supervisor at Golden Psychology. In service of that question, she’s devoted her career to helping couples get “unstuck” from long standing destructive patterns. Her work helps partners clarify the cycles keeping them trapped and provides tools for them to join together against the issues tearing them apart. Among other evidenced based interventions, Dr. Parsons is trained in EFT, IBCT, PREP and uses these modalities, as well as considerations for how social identities affect romantic relationships, to effect change. Dr. Parsons earned her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Denver in 2018.
