Elise Cote-Milnor, LMSW
Elise is a psychotherapist and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She identifies as white, queer, gender-expansive and gay. Elise approaches therapy from a trauma informed, emotionally focused and strengths-based perspective. She believes therapy is a place to feel safe and understood and strives to meet clients with warmth, openness and curiosity. Elise works to help clients overcome challenges of depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, intimacy, life transitions, and self-esteem through a queer and gender-affirming lens.
Elise’s clinical foundation is rooted in studies of psychoanalysis and attachment-based research. They have training in several experiential therapy modalities: Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Elise received her BA in Psychology from Goucher College and her MSW from NYU Silver School of Social Work. Elise resides in Queens, NY with her best friend and life partner and their two adorable cats. She particularly enjoys writing about queer themes she finds present in film.
I charge $300 for 50 min sessions, $360 for 60 min sessions, and $60 for each additional person in a poly relationship. I charge $770 for 3-hour individual KAP sessions.
